LOMBOK

Lombok ist nestled between Bali and Sumbawa and has long lived in the shadow of its neighbor. 

If you wish to escape Bali’s over-crowded line-ups,  add Lombok to your list. It is home to one of the world’s best left-handers – Desert Point – the wave that pinned the island on the surfing map.The surf is very consistent and is one of the least crowded in Indo  too.

It´s getting more and more developped, but still no comparison to Bali and it has managed to preserve its authentic charm and raw beauty. Lombok is like Bali twenty years ago. There’s no mass tourism (yet) and less commercialism. Tourist facilities are sparse, but you will find surf camps in Lombok near the most popular waves.
